On a Budget
By no means am I converting my blog into solely a fashion blog because God knows there are like 20,000 of those out there. But as a jobless 20-something year old I do need to speak to you guys about getting a cute 'fit on a budget. I've been holding off on writing this post because I've been trying to find a really good discounted outfit that fit me in the right places and also that was right for the season. On Sunday my aunt and I went to Marshalls, I found this beautiful yellow, red and blue vertically striped jumpsuit. It also has a little tie near the waste line. If you’re thicker than a snicker, like me, this will help hide the foopa a little bit. This jumpsuit literally only cost me $20 (TWENTY DOLLARS!!!) at Marshalls. I was honestly amazed. I also topped it with a long brown sleeveless top coat that I already owned (purchased at Nordstrom) just get a little more color in there. The shoes I had also bought on Sunday. They were BCBGGeneration, that I purchased for a discounted price at Nordstrom Rack. I felt like these burgundy mules made the jumpsuit pop without it being too matchy with the red that is seen in there. All together I spent $60 on a brand new outfit that I wore to dinner that night to Mortons. So here’s something to consider while shopping on a budget:
1. Already have a budget in mind of how much you want to spend. You don’t want to overspend when shopping.
2. Look for clothes that you can layer up. Something that can be versatile and you can wear with anything. Ex. The brown top coat & burgundy mules.
3. Lastly keep in mind that when shopping on budget you do want a piece of clothing that is going to last you. Although you spend $20 you don’t want something that will be destroyed right away. You need something that will be long lasting.
